Meet the Founder

Founder of Arc-1 and SuperNova Virtual Health
Architect of a longevity-first prescribing philosophy

Dr. Todd Stearns is a board-certified physician, educator, and longevity medicine advocate whose work focuses on one core question:

How do we help people age better - before systems fail, not after?

Rather than chasing short-term fixes or extreme protocols, Dr. Stearns has spent his career developing a practical, research-aligned approach to healthy aging - one that prioritizes prevention, precision, and long-term outcomes.

A Clinical Background

Shaped by Real-World Exposure

Dr. Todd A. Stearns, DO, FACOG, began his healthcare journey after completing service in the United States military, an experience that shaped his early understanding of preparation, resilience, and systems thinking.

Following his military service, Dr. Stearns entered the pharmaceutical industry, where he worked in medical sales. During this time, he spent countless hours in clinics and waiting rooms - listening to patients describe their conditions, frustrations, and unanswered questions. What stood out wasn’t just disease, but a recurring theme: people wanted more than symptom management. They wanted energy, clarity, and a higher quality of life as they aged.

At the same time, Dr. Stearns immersed himself in hands-on patient care, volunteering first as an orderly in a psychiatric care unit and later as a medical technician in a hospital in Washington, D.C. These experiences provided an unfiltered view of healthcare from multiple angles - clinical, institutional, and deeply human.

Collectively, these moments exposed a gap in the system: patients were often treated reactively, long after issues had taken hold, with little attention paid to prevention or long-term trajectory. That realization ultimately led Dr. Stearns to pursue medicine.

He went on to earn his medical degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed residency training at Temple University, and is now a board-certified OB/GYN (FACOG) practicing in Nevada. In addition to clinical practice, he teaches and mentors resident physicians, grounding his work in both academic rigor and real-world care delivery.

While his specialty is obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Stearns’ interest expanded toward healthy aging and longevity medicine, driven by the belief that early assessment of hormonal balance, inflammation, and metabolic function can meaningfully influence long-term human performance and resilience.

This belief became the foundation for SuperNova Virtual Health, and later Arc-1 - both designed to address the question he first encountered years earlier in waiting rooms:

"How do we help people feel better, function better, and age better - before systems fail?"

From Reactive Care to Healthy Aging

Over time, Dr. Stearns began to see a recurring pattern in modern healthcare:

  • Conditions like metabolic dysfunction, hormonal imbalance, and cardiovascular disease often develop quietly for years
  • Intervention typically happens after damage has accumulated
  • Patients are then placed on lifelong management protocols rather than guided toward early course correction

This observation led him to focus on healthy aging and longevity medicine - not as a rejection of conventional medicine, but as an evolution of it.

“We’re not trying to stop aging. We’re trying to change the trajectory.”

The Longevity-First Prescribing Philosophy

At the core of Dr. Stearns’ work is a simple but disciplined framework:

  • Prevention over reaction
  • Individualized care over one-size-fits-all protocols
  • Precision and restraint over aggressive, indefinite intervention
  • Long-term outcomes over short-term wins

This philosophy emphasizes:

  • understanding biological signals early
  • aligning care with current longevity and metabolic research
  • using therapeutics thoughtfully, often in conservative doses and strategic cycles
  • and supporting sustainable lifestyle change whenever possible

The goal is not maximal intervention - but appropriate intervention.

Arc-1: Delivering the Philosophy at Scale

Arc-1 was created to make this longevity-first approach accessible to more people without requiring direct access to a single physician.

  • Arc-1 operates through a nationwide network of independent, licensed physicians
  • These clinicians are trained on Dr. Stearns’ longevity-first prescribing philosophy
  • Patients work directly with physicians in the Arc-1 network
  • Treatment decisions are individualized and made by the treating clinician using their professional judgment

This model allows Arc-1 to deliver consistent, research-aligned care nationwide - while maintaining proper clinical oversight and physician autonomy.

A Philosophy Built for the Long Game

Dr. Stearns’ work is guided by a long-term view of health - one that recognizes aging as a dynamic process shaped by repeated cycles of stress, repair, and adaptation.

By focusing on early awareness, thoughtful intervention, and consistent habits, his goal is to help people remain capable, engaged, and resilient as they age.
